Pray for peace inside your body

Conflict can stay in the nervous system after the conversation ends. Before deciding what to say next, give your body time to settle. Walk, breathe, drink water, or sit with someone safe.

A calmer body does not prove that the issue is solved. It gives you a better chance of responding with clarity.

Peacemaking may involve listening, apology, mediation, restitution, or a boundary. It does not require staying in a room where you are being threatened or degraded.

Ask what truth has not been spoken and what repair has not been attempted. When power is unequal, involve a qualified and independent person.

Pray for a world at war

Use names when you know them. Pray for civilians, displaced families, medical workers, journalists, aid workers, soldiers, prisoners, and people who are grieving.

Let prayer lead to responsible attention. Learn from credible reporting, support accountable relief work, and refuse language that treats any group of people as disposable.
